Welcome to HandyMandyMan ("we", "us", "the Platform"). By accessing or using handymandyman.com you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. The Service
HandyMandyMan is an online marketplace that connects customers ("Customers") with independent handyman service professionals ("Contractors"). We are not the employer of Contractors and do not perform the work ourselves.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use the Platform. Contractors must be legally authorized to perform the services they offer in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Platform Fees
HandyMandyMan charges a 15% non-refundable platform service fee on every completed booking. This fee is automatically deducted from the Contractor's payout.
5. Escrow & Cancellations
Customer payments are held by our payment processor (Stripe) and released to the Contractor only when both parties confirm completion of the work. If a Customer cancels after payment, the 15% platform fee is retained and the remainder is handled per our cancellation policy.
6. Independent Contractor Status
Contractors are independent third parties, not employees or agents of HandyMandyMan. We do not control how, when, or where work is performed.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyMandyMan is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from work performed by Contractors or use of the Platform.
8. Arbitration
Any dispute between you and HandyMandyMan shall be resolved exclusively through binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
