Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, phone, ZIP code, profile photo.
- Contractor information: licenses, certifications, insurance, background-check status.
- Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe — we never store full card numbers.
- Job content: messages, photos, location of the work site, reviews.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP address, pages visited.
How We Use Information
- To match Customers with Contractors and operate the marketplace.
- To process payments and payouts via Stripe Connect.
- To verify Contractor identity, licensing, and insurance.
- To detect fraud and enforce our Terms.
- To send transactional and (with consent) marketing communications.
Sharing
We share information with the other party to a job (Customers ↔ Contractors), with our payment processor, and with service providers under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, delete, or export your data by emailing privacy@handymandyman.com. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is 100% secure.
Cookies
We use cookies for authentication, analytics, and preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Platform may not function.
Children
HandyMandyMan is not directed at children under 13.
